Do you know where this game was presumably first created?
Mesopotamia, the "Land Between Two Rivers," was the groundwork for human civilization around 3500 BCE. The Tigris and Euphrates rivers not only provided sustenance through fertile soil but also presented challenges with their unpredictable flooding. In response, ancient communities developed complex irrigation systems and city-states, fostering the birth of a sophisticated society.
The Sumerians, an innovative people, emerged as the first known civilization in Mesopotamia. They pioneered the use of cuneiform writing, one of the earliest writing systems, around 3200 BCE. Cities like Ur, Uruk, and Eridu became thriving centers of commerce, religion, and culture. Advanced architectural achievements, such as ziggurats and monumental temples, showcased their mastery of engineering.
